The club has traditionally been a Junior Club since its inauguration but
the past year has seen an increase in the number of enquiries from
As a result the club will be looking to increase adult participation in
the coming year with the aim to setting up an adult section.
Over the past couple of years the club has invested in, and acquired a number of new tables which are suitable for wheelchair access. This has enabled the club to continue its tradition of being a fully inclusive club open to all sections of the community.Of course we are still keen to see the development of Junior Table Tennis and are currently seeking new members to expand our junior section as well.Whilst the club has a competitive element we welcome players of all abilities as well as those that just want to have some fun, keep fit as well as play socially.
Sports England Club Mark
The Rother Community Table Tennis Academy is a Sport England Club Marked Club, the only one currently in the area. Club Mark is aimed at clubs with a Junior Element and signifies that the club meets the required standards in a number of areas including Child Protection & Safeguaring, child friendly and welcoming club, access to coaching and competition. Our club meets to required standards and has all proceedures in place to ensure a child friendly and safe environment. The club as an appointed Child Welfare officer and all officials who have access to young people, including coaches and leaders are checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service, formally CRB.The club also provides a warm welcome to Adults of all ages as well as those with a disability. The club has a number of tables which are suitable for wheelchair access and has full facilities for disabled players. The club alway welcomes family groups and visitors.
